You know what’s crazy! I’ll tell you what’s crazy!
Late-Night TV and the profound effect it has on a couple’s sex life.
According to an Italian study: having a TV in your bedroom means you are probably getting 1/2 as much sex as the couple without the TV in their bedroom.
Imagine that, Jay Leno’s chin putting a crimp in your sex life. David Letterman’s manic mannerisms keeping your from becoming amorous?
According to the report, 64 percent of couples who are getting 50% less loving than their neighbors, opt to keep the set on rather than increase their chance for love.
That is sad people.
“Getting it on is about putting the brain and body in a passionate state—TV does the opposite,” says Heidi Raykeil, author of Confessions of a Naughty Mommy.
Has nobody heard of a DVR?
Who is choosing late night repeats of 50 year old Andy Griffith episodes instead of, well you know.
hmmmm?
Where’s the off button to the remote?
According to the study: “If there’s no television in the bedroom, the frequency of sex doubles,” said Serenella Salomoni whose team of psychologists questioned 523 Italian couples to see what effect television had on their sex lives:
On average, Italians who live without TV in the bedroom have sex twice a week, or eight times a month. This drops to an average of four times a month for those with a TV, the study found.
8 times a month?
That’s a drop in the bucket compared to the frequency that Al Queda Cave Dwellers get snuggly with their goats?
The study is less favorable to older couples who like TV: The study indicates if you are Italian and over 50 then you get it 1.5 times a month. That’s good for keeping heart attacks to a minimum but 1.5 times a month?
YIKES!
I wonder what that 1/2 time is like. Are you by yourself while your partner reads a book in the next room.
Man that is depressing.
And that is crazy
