You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy.™
Death brushing.
What is death brushing?
It’s a hair brush that could kill.
How does it kill?
Good question.
In the hands of Son of Sam or Charles Manson it could become a dangerous instrument.
You could take a filed down hair brush and shove it up a person’s nose so it perforates a man’s brain sack? It’s messy, but Possible.
If your hair brush was big enough, like the size of a mallet, you could bang a person in the head with it and hope to take their life.
But can you imagine dieing simply because you brushed your hair?
The stinky guy who lives in the dumpster down the street can, but that is not what this tale is about.
From the craziest story ever told department.
DATELINE: WISHAW, Scotland
It’s here that experts are saying a teenage girl could die just by brushing her hair.
According to published reports; the 13-year-old girl suffers from hair brushing syndrome.
Where I came from that was a disease that caused high school girls to stare into their rear view mirrors and constantly brush their 1980’s hairdos to create the perfect Farrah flip.
But in Scotland this is a rather unique situation where the girl’s brain could shut down if it comes into contact with static electricity.
Static electricity?
I guess that means no rubbing balloons on your head and sticking them to the wall, right?
What about walking on a carpet with thick soled shoes? ZAAAAP!
What about petting the cat on a particularly dry afternoon?
Static Electricity! To most of us, it’s a corduroy pants and some big thighs walking down the hall.
But to Megan Stewart it’s a bizarre – life threatening diseases.
3 years ago she was getting ready for school when suddenly she’s on the ground flopping like a fish – turning blue.
Paramedics were called and she was rushed to the hospital. It’s there that physicians who study the brain and also know a thing or two about cosmetology, told the family that the girl suffered from the extremely rare syndrome which causes vital organs to shut down if there is a buildup of static electricity.
So does the girl live the life of a Rastafarian, hair clumping like kudzu on her scalp?
Not exactly.
The family says they saturate her head with water to avoid any static build up. That’s got to be fun in the dead of winter when you’re rushing out to meet the school bus.
And that is crazy.™
