You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy™
Striving for greatness.
Whether you’re a butcher, a baker, a candlestick maker, the idea is to evolve to something greater.
The goal should be to learn, to achieve, to become greater than what you were yesterday.
Here’s an idea: Evolve like some Darwinian creature crawling out of the ocean using feet you just grew in your spare time.
If you are content, then you are receding. If you are sedentary you have lost. If you do nothing, you are dead.
They say that as soon as you’re born you begin dieing. I think the only way to compensate for the natural degradation of molecular deficiencies is to recharge your super cell; the synaptic connection between your brain and your heart.
Like the monkey people in 2001 A Space Odyssey, the idea is to touch the obelisque, to put your fingers into the stream of electrified knowledge. To Evolve, you must scoop up possibilities with your hands and drink it like a cool gulp of enlightenment.
As I write this; I am standing on the edge of my own mind, the place where Thelma and Louise launched into oblivion, and I wonder how far I can reach without falling.
I have a dream that exceeds excess. I am the Martin Luther King of my own hopes, my own desires. I am a dreamer in a world of automatons braking and accelerating and braking and accelerating on a highway going to a dead end job.
I am in a balloon flying over the periphery of what might be. I am the Wizard of Crazy headed not for OZ, but somewhere as expansive as Kim Kardashians ass.
I feel like I am being blown by a wind that is neither visible nor controllable. I am unsure where the breeze is steering me but I am holding tight to my technological basket as I race forward.
What does all this mean?
It depends who you are and what you want.
For me, it means one day seeing people wear Life’s Crazy™ clothes, and carrying Life’s Crazy™ iphone cases and toting Life’s Crazy™ back to school lunch boxes.
It’s about creating something bigger than imagination. It’s about building a sand castle that lasts a life time.
I know that I’m on an esoteric rant here, waxing poetic. Perhaps I’m ruminating through the eyes of a madman. I think what I’m really selling here is motivation to be more. Be great if you have greatness in you. Sometimes just reaching a little deeper within yourself can bring you satisfaction that over comes the aging process of life, the banality of every day so what.
In the immortal words of Phil Knight; Just Do It.
Touch the monolith and do something great today. Be a wizard, fly a balloon to the stars. Improve yourself by driving off that metaphysical cliff.
Touch the sky. Die slower, work happier, make a difference.
Or as Phil Knight says; Just do It.
Evolve Monkey People! Touch the Monolith of life!
