You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy™
America’s Pastime.
Baseball has recently taken some hits and it has certainly seen some errors.
Baseball is making headlines for all the wrong reasons:
Scandals are over shadowing the game.
At the heart of the scandal is Performing Enhancing Drugs.
Alex Rodriguez & Ryan Braun are two of the sports biggest stars. They are also the sports two biggest liars and cheaters.
Braun was suspended for the remainder of the season. He said he didn’t take anything. He lied.
He’s now drinking from umbrella drinks on some sandy beach counting his Benjamins.
In February 2012, Ryan Braun said “if i had done this intentionally or unintentionally, I will be the first to step up and say I did this.”
Braun has a 120 million dollar contract and he has 120 million reasons to lie.
Former Boston Red Sox pitching great Curt Schilling says he is disappointment for the game.
Alex Rodriguez is the next big name to fall.
Baseball says He cheated. Baseball said he lied. Baseball says he took performance enhancing drugs.
He denies it.
I hope Ryan Braun is saving him a seat at the cabana bar, because the game’s highest paid star is through.
Fans want to see home runs and incredible feats of strength. But fans also want integrity and an even playing field.
PED’s are ruining the game and the game is now fighting back.
Why does it matter?
George Wil in a column said: In 2011, Ryan Braun was 9 for 18. He was sensational and cheating. The players on the other team, the Diamond Backs say Braun’s cheating knocked them out of the playoffs and took money out of their pockets.
Pete Rose knows the pain.
Soon one of the greatest talents of this generation, Alex Rodriguez, will know it too.
