You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy™
Johnny Football suspended.
For 1/2 a game.
That’s not a typo.
HALF A GAME.
For those of you in the dark. Johnny Football is Johnny Manziel. He is the Heisman trophy winner. This pox faced, pissant stupid ass was the 1st Freshman to ever win the award. This arrogant, but talented football player went on a blitz of America cashing in on his celebrity. This guy is uglier than your dog’s ass, but his grid iron guts have granted him access to a world he would never normally enter. Women. Trips. Tickets. He was at Lakers games. He was at the ESPY’s. He was on the ESPN ticker non-stop.
He is 20 and he openly defies the under age drinking laws in the United States of America.
What bar tender doesn’t know that he is only TWENTY YEARS OLD.
Is he carrying a fake ID?
Bust his ass!!
But I digress.
Back to the allegations. ESPN was wall to wall with the story. In short; Johnny Football sat in a hotel room with stacks of pictures and autographed the whole damn lot of them for big time cash. That my friends, if true, is a major NCAA no no.
As Lee Corso would say; “Not so fast my friend.”
After an army of lawyers for Texas A &M and the NCAA got together, they arrived on a suspension of approximately 30 minutes.
Kids who poop their pants get longer time outs.
30 minutes? That’s Stairway to Heaven and Free Bird and Rush 2112 played back to back to back.
So what?
According to ESPN, Johnny Manziel was suspended for the 1st half of the first game of the Rice game.
Miss America judges are harsher on swim suit contestants.
Apparently there is no proof he accepted money to sign autographs as the NCAA alleged.
If that’s the case, then why even broadcast it to the world?
And if there is no proof he did anything wrong why is he suspended for even one play? You either broke the rules or you didn’t. And if he didn’t then shut the F up.
Suspended for 1/2 a game?
Why not 8 minutes? Why not a whole game? Why at all?
ESPN analyst, Robert Smith said; “Yes he signed autographs. The question is – did he take money? It is what you can prove. If there is no proof then they couldn’t automatically suspend him.”
Paul Finebaum, Radio Host said: “It’s a laughing stock. That is what the NCAA is. They washed their hands of it.”
David Pollack, ESPN Game Day analyst said; “They met with Johnny Manziel for 5 hours. How do you say I didn’t do anything for 5 hours. I shake my head.”
Jesse Palmer, ESPN Game Day analyst said: “Texas A&M is more than happy to trade a one half game suspension versus Rice for this all to go away.”
So big business of college football once again comes into question. The NCAA is a joke and the inmates are running the asylum.
Just pay these kids for what they do and their likenesses on Play Station games and get on with it.
