Parents have 9 months to figure out a name for baby boy or baby girl, so why do so many parents regret the names they chose for their child years later?
How many parents regret the choice they made? ABC news says 8 percent of all parents regret the name they chose for Jr. Other sites claim it’s more like 10% or 20%.
Whatever the figure, it’s an interesting premise.
Think about it. Your name is something you take with you from birth to death. You may change it along the way, you may get a nick name, but your parents name you and that’s pretty much it.
Celebrities are often known to go all out. Gwynth Paltrow named her child Apple. Not far from the tree I suspect.
Actor, Jason Leigh named his son; Pilot Inspektor. WTF?
Las Vegas showman, Penn Gillette named his kid, Moxic Crime Fighter. I hope Moxic learns karate cause he’s going to get his ass whooped early and often.

And it turns out that many parents do regret the name they chose for their baby.
According to an abc news report; of the 8 percent who are upset,
32-percent of them say they’re upset because the name they chose is too common.
Last year the most popular names for boys were Jacob and Ethan. For girls; it was Sophia and Isabelle.
Will the parents of Jacob and Ethan and Sophia and Isabelle regret this choice?
The number one name in 1950 was Linda. Linda is now number 654. Makes you wonder why names are in fashion one year and out of fashion the next.
You don’t meet many Sally’s or Lucy’s or Peggy’s anymore? But you always meet Jim and John and Bob’s.
