You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy.™
Eating crow. Or in this case eating Bruin.
In Friday’s edition of andycordan.com I went bezerk on UCLA. I lambasted the pansy Bruins for being weak and worthless.
Well time to man up because my Cardinal and Gold was rusted and wrecked.
The only thing the Trojans did right was find the stadium and get out for the opening kick.
It was a sad ass slide down hill from that moment on.
Trojan Nation, you got your tail between your legs? You should. Bow your head and walk silently.
The City of Angels belongs to the pastel Blue for the next year.
Man that’s hard to stomach.
But the Bruins deserve it. They came to play. They out performed the men of Troy.
The players beat us on the field. The coaches out coached us on the sideline.
On this Saturday, the little bear with the skirt, was the most complete football team in the Rose Bowl.
In a rain storm that this celebrated rivalry hasn’t seen in over 50 years, the Bruins set the tone on the first play of the game.
One time Heisman candidate, Matt Barkley dropped back and threw the first pass to a UCLA defender.
The Bruins scored a minute later.
The crowd goes crazy and the confidence level is off the chart.
Before you know it, the Trojans are down 24-0 and the hiss coming out of the stadium is symbolic of the entire season.
The Trojans will claw back, but it won’t be enough. Too little too late as they say.
The day was a crazy day for many teams.
Kansas State lost and is out. Oregon stepped in it’s own Duck crap and their out.
Suddenly the Golden Domers and the Crimson Tide are in charge of their own destinies.
So congrats Bruins. You won it fair and square. Barkely’s season was not that of dreams. Lane Kiffin is the snake we all thought. His daddy’s Tampa 2 defense is an antiquated screen door fooling nobody.
Troy has a lot of problems on the field. No chemistry. Personal fouls. Penalty’s out the wazzoo. A defense that couldn’t catch a cold.
Can we beat Notre Dame? Based on what I’ve seen lately, and now without our prized QB, the answer is probably not.
I think we probably should keep our mouths shut and hope for the best.
And that is crazy.™
