Rumors that Diane Sawyer was drunk on election night.
“Good evening America, I’ll have another.”
Was she drunk?
“a roundof shots for the entire news desk.”
Who knows, maybe.
“‘I’m Diane Sawyer and you are not.”
Was she drunk? Perception is reality and the Twitter universe sure thought she was sloshed.
Diane was loud at times like it was a New Year’s Eve celebration.
She was akward at other times, directing from the news desk, asking for shots that were just put up and laughing when the music sounded that represented another vote tally in.
She was mispronouncing the president’s name and sprawling on the anchor desk and calling the President Barack Orama.
ABC News says Sawyer is over worked covering both the election and hurricane Sandy. I’m sure she is tired, but she was on the only anchor I saw on 5 networks stumbling and bumbling through election coverage.
Twitter was ripe with nasty tweets like “and the winner is: Chardonnay”
That is awesome.
There is even a Twitter site called DRUNK DIANE SAWYER.
It’s sad, but freaking hilarious.
Here is a segment of Sawyer from the desk: “OK, I wanna—can we have our music, because this is another big one here? Minnesota, we’re ready to project Minnesota, rrright now. … Well, tonight we know that President Barack has won Minnesota,” she said around 10 p.m. EST, stumbling over President Barack Obama’s name.
Was she drunk? Maybe. Perhaps she had a stroke.
She didn’t address it the next day on air, except to tweet back, I saw your tweets, the good the bad and the funny. See ya on World News Tonight.
