You know what’s crazy? I’ll tell you what’s crazy.
The Fiscal Cliff
It affects every single American. So what the hell took so long?
Why can’t these guys, these elected morons, these power tripping, holier than thou, politicians, figure out how to work together.
I understand some want more spending cuts.
I get it.
I understand some want more tax increases.
I get it.
What I want is some damn political cooperation, especially when it threatens to take money out of my wallet.
If I have to give the government 3,500 dollars, I can guarantee you I’m not buying a new flat screen, and I might not be paying my mortgage.
These two factions of government had months to figure out where the cliff was and everyone knew when we were going over it.
So why does it take for the ball to drop for these idiots to come up with a mediocre deal that neither side likes.
It makes me wonder if Washington as we know it can ever really function effectively.
The whole damn thing is on auto pilot with everyone voting the way they always vote regardless of whether it is going to pull 3,500 dollars out of my wallet or not.
I’m glad they came to a last minute compromise. But sure doesn’t inspire me for what’s ahead.
And that is crazy.
